Hello, I am a licensed psychotherapist working in community mental health and private practice. Since 2014, I’ve worked with adults, children, couples, and families to support people with emotional awareness and personal growth. I attended California Institute of Integral Studies and graduated with a focus on Expressive Art Therapy. I have since completed training in: trauma informed care, somatic therapy for trauma, PolyVagal theory informed therapy, harm reduction therapy, and Gottman principles for couples therapy. Personally, I’ve explored many mind-body centering modalities including Ashtanga yoga, meditation, dance, and running.
My understanding of neurodiversity and disability is rooted in my experience as a neurodiverse person. My approach to therapy is non-judgemental, relational, and creative. I draw on psychodynamic and attachment theory, somatics, and art in therapy to support people with identifying their vision for emotional wellness as well as what obstructs them in their movement towards balance. I take an open approach to the material you bring to sessions while also holding and sharing with you an evolving understanding of your strengths as you move towards growth and healing. This takes the form of addressing current concerns while integrating a reflection of you within your arc of growth throughout your life. We may discuss childhood or the struggles of the week; all moments, images, thoughts and reflections in our sessions are held with care as valuable components of understanding you holistically.
Finding a therapist you work well with is essential to positive change. Please contact me for a free 15-20 minute consultation to determine if we are a good fit to work together. Currently, I see people based in Oregon and California via teletherapy.
